This rarely seen Invicta is a truly special watch.....the pictures don't do it justice.  In addition to being incredibly scarce, this particular example is in beautiful original condition.  The silver satin "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial is in near mint condition and the patina on the dial and hands, which no longer glows when exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm golden buttermilk hue.  The world time bezel, which rotates smoothly bidirectionally and is in pristine condition, has faded to a stunning smoky black hue.  The all stainless steel case, which is in wonderful condition, has sharp beveled edges and is free of any visibly significant dents or dings.  The outer edge of the case back is stamped "AUTOMATIC   INVICTA   WATERPROOF   INCABLOC   STAINLESS STEEL" with a picture of a fish and "26719" stamped in the center.  The inside of the case back is stamped "SWISS MADE."  The crystal shows light scratching.
The 25 jewels "SWISS" and "INVICTA LTD" stamped AS 1885 automatic movement with quickset date function is exceptionally clean, runs strong, keeps accurate time and the day and date wheels roll over as they should.  The quickset date function works flawlessly by moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 20 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached.  Please note that the day wheel is in Spanish.  After winding the original Invicta signed non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had a healthy power reserve of approximately 41 hours.  My watchmaker, who opened the case back, said the movement is in top condition.  Given that this watch is approximately 50 years old and has an unknown service history (there is one visible watchmaker service marking on the inside of the case back but the date of the last service is unkown), a complete overhaul is suggested.

This watch measures approximately 38.5 mm excluding the crown, approximately 41 mm including the crown and...
