This fine wrought iron set was custom made for Mrs. Vera I Heinz* in the 1940's and was part of a group of four sets acquired by the
Heinz Company and used in the Exhibit Department until the mid 1960's. There are two arm chairs and two straight back chairs.
As the pictures show it is simply decorated with leaves and an original flower pot at the base of the table. The seat coverings
were replaced with the yellow naugahyde to withstand use at the Heinz exhibit at the National Restaurant Convention Trade Show.
At different times over the past 60 plus years, the set has graced our kitchen, dining room or porch. It is now time to the set a
new caretaker. Available for local pick up only...in Oakmont, 12 miles up the Allegheny River from Pittsburgh.
* In 1935 Vera married Clifford Heinz, son of Henry J Heinz, founder of the H J Heinz Company. She was known for her many
civic interests and philanthropic generosity. Vera also founded the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera.
